Calling all Entertainment Technology in Pittsburgh!

The Pittsburgh Entertainment Technology Project is now accepting entries for the 2011 Pittsburgh-to-Hollywood Awards, presented in partnership with the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s Design, Art and Technology Awards.

The Pittsburgh Entertainment Technology Project is seeking regional entertainment technology-related companies. The proposal is directed at local businesses, with market-ready products, who are interested in pitching their work to a panel of industry experts, and, ultimately, Hollywood producers.

Award recipients will be announced at Pittsburgh’s 2011 Design, Art and Technology Awards, hosted this year by theCreative Director and Executive Producer of Cirque du Soleil, Lyn Heward – downtown in the Cultural District. The companies producing the most viable products will become finalists and recipients of the award ceremony’s Grand Prize: a West Coast Trade Mission, which includes a trip to Los Angeles to pitch entertainment technology products to a series of producers and industry buyers.
