The second GigaPan Dialogues International Workshop will be held at Carnegie Mellon University, November 15-16, 2010. During this workshop, we will reflect on the activities of 2009-2010, compile curriculum documents and draft best practices for the project moving forward, plan activities for 2011, and invite new schools and educators to join the project. All schools participating in 2009-2010 activities will be invited to present on their experiences. The workshop will feature a poster session of student work;
although students are not expected to attend the workshop, their participation is invited in the preparationof a poster describing their project.
Sponsorship Opportunities
The GigaPan Dialogues Project relies on the generosity of sponsors to make the costs of participation as low as possible for the educators and their schools. Sponsors can support the upcoming workshop in many ways. Please direct any questions to Laura Tomokiyo, project director at Carnegie Mellon: laura@cs.cmu.edu

The workshop is scheduled to take place right after the Fine International Conference on Gigapixel Imaging for Science, which GigaPan Dialogues educators are invited, and strongly encouraged, to attend. The conference will feature world-class keynote speakers, extensive GigaPan technological training opportunities, presentations on real-world uses of GigaPan in science, and a variety of workshops, including one on GigaPan in the classroom.
Cost
The registration fee for the GigaPan Dialogues International Workshop is $100 for returning educators and $650 for educators new to the project. The cost for new educators includes a complete GigaPan camera kit. The cost for the Fine International Conference is an additional $100.
