Thursday, February 4, 2010
5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Villa Southside
On Tuesday, January 12, 2010, a 7.0 earthquake hit the small island of Haiti. Within minutes lives were changed forever and within hours the world watched as the victims searched for loved ones, sought medical attention, and longed for food and water.
Representatives from PRSA Pittsburgh felt compelled to do something for their fellow man through the Pittsburgh creative community. Partnering with Daniel Pipitone of danielpipitonedesign.com, IABC Pittsburgh, and AIGA Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh AdFed, these groups will host:
CREHAITIVE: PGH Creatives Mobilizing for Haiti Fundraising Event
Generously supported by Villa Southside and Frank Parsons, Inc., we will be on hand to collect a $5 donation at the door.
All are invited to attend.
But there’s more…
As part of this creative collaboration we’re encouraging Pittsburgh’s creative community to design posters representing the rebuilding of communities and restoration of hope in Haiti. The posters that are submitted will be exhibited and auctioned off during the event. All proceeds benefit the American Red Cross Haiti Relief fund.
Put your brainstorming hat on design posters that:
* Represent your response to the earthquake in Haiti
* Highlight, if possible, the importance of the rebuilding of communities and the restoration of hope

Please submit posters by February 2 to be sure we can have them all produced in time.
