The Pittsburgh Technology Council’s Art + Technology Initiative is proud to present the first SCRAP (Steel City Robotic Art Project) exhibition at Pittsburgh’s First Night celebration.
Located on the second floor of the 937 Gallery on Penn Avenue, “Robot Resolution” features robotic and mechatronic sculptures and installations from the Pittsburgh-based robotic art group Rossum’s. Rossum’s was founded by Ian Ingram and Garth Zeglin in the Fall of 2006 in order to bring together artists and engineers interested in robotic and mechatronic art. The name is a reference to the 1921 play by Karel Čapek titled R.U.R. (Rossum’s Universal Robots).
